Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Hotel REMY s. r. o. processes the personal data of visitors and guests in connection with this website and the provision of accommodation services, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the Protection of Personal Data.
1. Who is the controller

2. What data we process, for what purpose and on what legal basis
Accommodation booking (form / e-mail / telephone / WhatsApp): first name and surname, e-mail, telephone where applicable, dates, room type and number of rooms, and your requirements. Purpose: handling the booking and concluding and performing the accommodation contract. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – performance of a contract and steps taken prior to entering into a contract. Providing this data is necessary to handle the booking; without it we cannot process your booking.
Compliance with legal obligations (guest register, reporting of stay, accounting): data to the extent required by specific legislation. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(c) GDPR – legal obligation (in particular Act No. 254/2016 Coll., Act No. 404/2011 Coll. for foreign nationals, and Act No. 431/2002 Coll. on Accounting).
Communication and handling of enquiries (e-mail, telephone, WhatsApp, social media): the data you provide to us yourself. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR (performance of a contract or the legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry).
Cookies and website operation: see the separate Cookie Policy. For non-essential cookies, the legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 109 of Act No. 452/2021 Coll.).
3. How long we retain the data
• Booking e-mails and enquiries: up to 90 days from the stay, or from the enquiry if no stay took place.
• Accounting documents and documents required by law: 10 years pursuant to Act No. 431/2002 Coll.
• Data under the guest register and reporting of stay: for the period laid down by specific legislation.
4. To whom we disclose the data (recipients)
• The provider of the website platform and booking form (Mozello) – as a processor on the basis of a contract pursuant to Article 28 GDPR.
• Public authorities to the extent of legal obligations (e.g. the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic, the tax office, the Police Force of the Slovak Republic).
• If you contact us via WhatsApp, this service is provided by Meta, which processes data (in particular your phone number and metadata) under its own terms.
5. Transfer to third countries
Our own processing of the data takes place within the EU/EEA. If you contact us via WhatsApp, its provider (Meta) may process certain data (in particular your phone number and metadata) outside the EU/EEA, under its own terms and with appropriate safeguards pursuant to Article 44 et seq. GDPR.
6. Your rights
You have the right of access to your data, and the rights to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, to object, and to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Statutory limitations may apply to the exercise of certain rights (e.g. mandatory archiving of accounting documents). We handle requests at info@remy.sk.
You also have the right to file a motion to initiate proceedings under Section 100 of Act No. 18/2018 Coll., or a complaint with the supervisory authority: Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava, www.dataprotection.gov.sk.
7. Automated decision-making
No automated decision-making, including profiling, takes place when processing your data.
